I am a Fellow/Assistant Professor at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, University of Texas at Austin, and a Research Affiliate at IZA.
I received my Ph.D. in Managerial Economics from The University of California, Los Angeles, Anderson School of Management in 2018, worked as a post-doctoral fellow at Columbia Business School from 2018 to 2020, and worked as an Assistant Professor of Economics at the School of Economics, University of Nottingham from 2020 to 2024. I received an M.A. in Economics from The New Economic School and an M.A. and B.A. in Oriental and African Studies from Moscow State University.
My research interests focus primarily on gender, cultural norms, discrimination, and social justice. I am an associate editor for the Journal of Economics, Management, and Religion.
